WI-04: Small Windows Games ARCADE GAMES: ============= ----------------- 3417 Arcade Games Small Programs Disk ----------------- ABM Command (ABM-CMD) 08-93 CD Kent Rollins $0 is a faithful adaptation of the game Missile Command. You must defend your cities from an aerial attack, using either the mouse or keyboard to aim and fire your missiles. There are smart bombs, MIRVs, and bonus cities just like the classic arcade game. A 386 or better is recommended. Alien Force 1.0 (AFORCE) Epps, Robert $0 is a Windows version of an old pre-PC Apple game in which you guide your spaceship around a grid, blasting away at the enemy ships. Bugs! 1.0 Oasis Software $5 is an amusing arcade game for Windows. You must navigate around 10 rooms, collecting keys and avoiding deadly bugs and electrified walls. Columns for Windows (COLUMNS) 1.2 Rotenstein, John $0 is an interesting variation of Tetris. You must arrange the colors on the falling blocks into rows of three or more. Emlith 3.0 Emura, Yutaka $10 is another version of Tetris. You can choose as many as sixty different shapes of falling blocks. You can also choose the block shape for your game, or you can select the "Challenge Mode" which uses multiple shapes. Other features include user selectable sound, oil-slicked blocks, exploding bombs, and more. Hex-Tet is a variation of the arcade game Tetris. It uses objects made up of polygons which, without looking very radical, add a whole new perspective to the game. Jewel Thief 1.3 (JEWLTHF) Ligeski, Paul ASP $10-$15 is a mouse-driven arcade game where you try to steal as many jewels as you can while avoiding the ever-present guards. Once you steal all the jewels on a level, a trickier set of guards appears. You start out with nine men, and you lose a man (or more) each time a guard touches you or you leave the playing field. Space Walls II (SPACEW) Taub, Adam $0 is a difficult little game in which the object is to shoot the center of rotating walls, while avoiding flying into the walls or being hit by the two defending saucers. Many options are available to customize game play. TetWin Briatico, Joe $5 is a very attractive and challenging game of Tetris. The column width can be adjusted from 6 to 22 columns, and you can change the size of falling objects from 4 to 7 squares. There are nine levels of play, and you can also play a game with stationary pieces already in place. Windows Command 1.0 (WINCMD) Baldwin, Timothy G. $3 is an adaptation of the arcade game Missile Command. WinTris 3.0 Kipnis Enterprises $15 is the game of Tetris for Windows. There are lots of options available, and the graphics and playability are excellent. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #3417 -------------------------------- -------------------- 3885 Arcade Games #2 Small Programs Disk -------------------- Block Breaker 3.12E (BLOK-BR) (10-93 CD) Emura, Yutaka $10 is a colorful Windows version of the old Breakout type game. Several challenging screens are included with four different speed options. WIN31 sound and MIDI are supported. Chomp 1.1 Shekhel, Jerry J. $20 is a faithful adaptation of Pac-Man for Windows. The animation is great and it is a lot of fun to play. Herman and the Falling Rocks 1.01 (HERMAN) Bieling, Carl $15-$30 is an amusing and challenging maze game. Your mission is to collect as many flowers as you can without letting any of the rocks fall on your head. If a rock hits you, then you die and have to repeat the level. There are a total of six levels, and you will have to die many times before you figure them all out. Hyperoid 1.1 (HYPROID) Hutchins, Edward $0 is a clone of the old arcade game Asteroids. This is a pretty faithful adaptation with lots of interesting twists that make for addictive arcade action. Lander 1.1 (WINLAND) TMA $0 is patterned after the arcade game Lunar Lander. MacBlaster 1.10 (MCBLAST) Gehr, Earl $10 You have challenged the Evil Fruit Empire's monopoly on their graphic user interface, and they are not at all happy about it. Their smiley-faced computers hurl exploding mice and destructive copyright lawsuits at you. Your only weapon is an infinite supply of rotten apple cores which you hurl defiantly at the corporate Goliaths. Can you beat the Empire and give computer users freedom of choice? (In case our description was too subtle for you: this is a Space Invaders game with an anti-Apple Corp. bias.) Snakes (SNK-KLP) Patch, Kevin L. $15 is a very fast-paced game in which you must kill snakes without letting them kill you. You can't "win" this game. When you kill a snake, another snake takes its place. Play continues until you lose three lives. WormWar is a rather FAST version of the old game of Centipede. By slowing our 486 down to 15mhz, we got it to run at a reasonable pace. Good color graphics on a VGA. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #3885 -------------------------------- BOARD AND STRATEGY GAMES: ========================= ----------------------------- 3416 Board and Strategy Games Small Programs Disk ----------------------------- Attaxx Millennium Computer Corp $15 is a move-and-capture board game you play against the computer. Egg Carton 1.0a (EGGCRTN) PT WinWare $6-$9 is an unusual strategy game played with an egg carton and marbles. The object of this two-player game is to be the first to clear all marbles from your side of the carton. Fences 1.0 Blanding, Steve $0 is a challenging game in which you must beat the computer or a human opponent in building a fence across the playing field. Flip Out! 3.0 (FLIPOUT) Johnson, Kent $20 is a Concentration-type game for Windows. You can play against others, or against the computer. Several game types are provided including matching dice with their totals, clock faces to digital time, coins to their amounts, and fractions. Games can be scored against the clock, or by how many matches you achieve. Other features include custom board sizes, high score lists, and much more. VBRUN is required. Guys! I.V.S. Entertainment Software $12 you must lead the "guys" through a hazardous maze to the central exit. Unfortunately, the guys are pretty stupid, and can only follow directional arrows located on the paths in the maze. You must change the direction of the arrows to point toward the exit. Any guys that leave the beaten path die. Guys that run into each other mutate and start changing arrows randomly. Quick mouse reflexes and a lot of practice are required to win at this game. Hi-Q (HIQ-WIN) Ratsch, Wolfgang $10-$15 is a logic game in which you must remove pegs from the playing board by jumping over them. Your score is determined by how many pegs you were unable to remove. VBRUN is required. MineHelp (MINEHLP) Karrer, Peter $0 assists you with the Minesweeper game included in Windows 3.1. It is able to solve the simple parts of the puzzle, leaving only the really challenging ones to you. Solus 1.5 Vergos, Yorgo $10 is an IQ type game where you try to move all the pieces by jumping them over each other. TakeOne 1.03 (TAKEONE) Board Games Jimmy Kavanaugh; 5 Pounds IR is an interesting variation of peg solitaire. The object is to remove all the markers but one from the board by jumping over other markers either horizontally or vertically. You can play a standard game starting with only one free square, or design your own patterns. Other features include Dead Balls which must be captured with the final move, Watch Balls that cannot be moved until there are only two markers left, instant replay of games at three different speeds, and more. Triplets 2.0 (TRIPLET) Dean, Hal and Gamma $0 is a skill game in which you alternate turns, trying to get three tokens in a row on a playing grid. You can have up to four players in any combination of Humanoid, Dumb Robot, Smart Android, or Genius Cyborg. The grid can be three different sizes from 9x9 to 39x24. This is an interesting game, and the Genius Cyborg is tough to beat! -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #3416 -------------------------------- ---------------------------- 4604 Board/Strategy Games #2 Small Programs Disk ---------------------------- Battle Grid 2.0 (BATGRID) Dolan, Bob $10 is an interesting game of Battle Ship for Windows. There are three modes: Human vs. Computer, Human vs. Human, and Computer vs. Computer. The first to find the others ships is the winner. Blob Murray, Kevin $3 is a strategy-board game you can play against the computer or a human opponent. The object is to take more of the board than your opponent. When you replicate a piece on another square, any opposing men on adjoining squares change to your side. BoxWorld (BOXWRLD) Jiang, Jeng Long $5 is an excellent arcade strategy game. You must guide the animated figure around a maze, pushing boxes to cover up gems that are randomly scattered about. The first few levels are fairly easy, but if you're not careful you can box yourself into a corner with no escape. Confound 1.20 (CONFND) (11-93 CD) Koziar, Pete $15 is an excellent board/strategy game for Windows. You and the computer alternate turns trying to move your marble into your opponents's home square. Each turn consists of either moving your marble or placing a wall to block the other player. There are three difficulty levels, and even in the easy mode the computer is no slacker. To help speed play along, the cursor changes to help you place pieces. IconWar 1.0 Jarrett, Eric $13 is a variation of the old Battleship game. You must hide your men on a 9x9 grid, and you and the computer take turns trying to hit each other's locations. When a hit is made you automatically get another turn. VBRUN is required. Kye 2.0 Garbutt, Colin $various is an exceptional maze/strategy game. You must get through each level without getting stuck or eaten by beasts. There are numerous types of objects to get around. You will have to start each level over many times as you experiment to see how an object reacts when pushed. Other features include an on-screen maze editor, mouse control, black holes, one-way doors, time bombs, and more. This is a very challenging game with lots of interesting twists. Dkfky 5 & 6 (DKF-KYE) Fitgerald, Dennis K. $0 contains several challenging mazes for the popular game KYE (above). Sokoban for Windows 2.2.5 (SOKOBAN) Liss, Allan B. $0 The object of this game to push crates scattered about a maze-like warehouse onto the loading dock in the least amount of moves. It is very easy to push yourself into a corner, but levels can be restarted and games can be saved. There are 50 brain-punishing levels. Tobor Lonsky, Nicholas $5 is a puzzle game in which you must try to move in such a way as to get the Tobor's to run into each other, destroying themselves, before they get to you. (The author can no longer be reached at the address provided in the documentation.) Trio 1.0 [TRIO] Puzzle Games Torensoft Consulting; $10 is an interesting puzzle game for Windows. The game consists of 81 cards with different colored shapes. To form a Trio and remove cards, you must select three cards where each of the attributes (quantity, shape, color/shading) are all the same or all different. You'll definitely have to put on your thinking cap for this one! Requires VBRUN200. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4604 [15] -------------------------------- ------------------- 4396 Chess/Checkers Small Programs Disk ------------------- Checkers 1.3 (CHK-W3) Thatcher, Gregory $0 is a mouse-based checkers program for Windows 3. Options include 1-2 players and Autoplay. Play levels range from beginner to master. There is on-line help available for those who need it. ChessNet 1.1 (CHESNET) Lerner, Jack $35 lets you play a game of chess over a modem. You could also use it just to play through games on screen. You cannot play the computer, however, which makes the shareware fee for this somewhat exorbitant, considering that Battle Chess and ChessMaster 2100 sell for the same or less. The graphics are good, and the "game replay" is handy. Waxman 1.2w (WAX-WIN) Check-Tech Software, Inc. $? is a chess game for Windows that you play against the computer. It will let you specify the amount of time the computer can think about its next move. Other options include move analysis, editing of the board to set up special situations, changing sides, and more. Waxman plays a surprisingly strong game. If you like speed chess, set it on 40 moves in five minutes and see if you can keep up with it. Windows Chess 1.0 (WINCHES) Baker, Daryl $0 is a game of chess for Windows 3.0. It has good graphics and plays a decent game, though not as strong a game as the DOS-based chess games in the library. We ran into a bug in which it would not let us promote a pawn to the eighth rank. Requires EGA/VGA. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4396 -------------------------------- ------------------------ 4460 Miscellaneous Games Small Programs Disk ------------------------ Blackout (BLCKOUT) Mills, Patrick $12 is a challenging hand-eye coordination game. Color Test for Windows 2.0 (CTEST-W) Wilkins, Terry $15 gives you a personality profile based on the colors you like best. DES Fun 3.00 (DESFUN) Dragon's Eye Software $10 contains ten relatively harmless joke programs for Windows. These little gems range from faces drawn randomly on the screen, to cracks that appear from out of nowhere (with sound effects!), to laughing eyes that follow your cursor's movement, creepy bugs, and many more. Flipped (FLIP-RS) Salesas, Robert $0 is a harmless joke program that flips the screen upside down, wallpaper and all. The screen reverts to normal when you click the mouse. The Game of Life 1.0 (LIFE-DS) Stafford, David $0 is a game of cellular survivial for Windows. There are several different species of cells, including Snowflake, Glider, Spaceship, Seed, and others. You simply plant them on the screen and watch their struggles. You can zoom in and out on the display, step through a growth cycle, and more. I Ching for Windows 1.01 (ICHINGW) Pocket-Sized Software $10 provides an interpretation of an ancient Oriental form of fortune-telling. Sixty-four hexagrams and their meanings are provided, and you can randomly select one after posing a question or view each one individually. Number Crunch 2.0 (NCRUNCH) Persky, Jon $5 is a memory game that requires you to turn up the hidden numbers 1-20 in order. The better you can remember the location of numbers you have already seen, the faster you can solve the puzzle, which is the goal of the game. PLife 1.0 Urlocker, Zack $0 is a Windows implementation of the Game of Life. TPW source code is included. PsL Jokester (PSLJOKE) Ford, Nelson ASP $0 is a harmless practical joke to pull on someone. We won't spoil it by telling you what it does. Requires VBRUN. Simon 1.01 (SIMN-JE) Elkins, Jeff $0 is a variation of the Simon Says game. You must click on the colors, trying to match the sequence played by the computer. VBRUN is required. Tic-Tac-Toc 1.06 (TTT-WIN) JP Soft Development Corp. $0 is a game of tic-tac-toe for Windows 3. The 3-D graphics put a new twist on this old game, but it is still best played by the very young. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4460 -------------------------------- ----------------------------- 12271 Miscellaneous Games #2 Small Programs Disk ----------------------------- Brick (BRICKWN) $0 is a simple version of the classic Breakout type game. CFL_1993 (CFL93W) 09-93 CD Kerr, Thomas C. $32 allows you to predict, track, and update Canadian Football League games. The 1993 weekly CFL game schedule is included. Estimates of the offensive/defensive scoring strengths of each team is also included. EmPipe 1.01E Emura, Yutaka $10 is a pipe-laying type game. You must select sections of pipe to direct the flow of liquid from the starting point to the ending point. The mouse cursor will change into the next available pipe shape to speed play along. Other features include music, sound effects, high score listing, and more. NFL_1993 for Windows (NFL-WIN) 09-93 CD Kerr, Thomas C. $22 allows you to predict, track, and update NFL football games. The 1992 NFL game schedule is provided. Offensive/Defensive ratings are based on the combined scores of all 1991 regular season and playoff games. As you enter the weekly scores, the program updates its estimates of each team's offensive and defensive ratings and uses this information to predict scheduled games or any what-if game you choose. You can print weekly forms, AFC/NFC standings, and ratings. PaiGow Poker for Windows 2.0 (WPAIGOW) Straghalis, Chris $10-$20 is an interesting version of the Chinese tile game Paigow. In order to win, your low hand must beat the dealer's low hand, while your high hand must beat the dealer's high hand. If you beat one and lose one, then the hand is a push, and the dealer wins all ties. Up to six people can play. Roulette 2.0s (ROULWIN) 08-93 CD Pyramid Software Development $10 is an animated casino game for Windows. This game uses the 38-slot American wheel. Up to four people can play. You can save your chips and view a running total of the winning numbers. Bets can be made on numbers, columns, high/low, red/black, even/odd, and more. --------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #12271 --------------------------------- ----------------- 3415 Puzzle Games Small Programs Disk ----------------- Arrows Doc Software $5 is a seemingly simple, but challenging puzzle. You must rotate arrows to get five in a row, but when you turn an arrow, it forces the arrow it is pointing at to rotate 90 degrees. Things don't always turn out the way you plan... VBRUN is required. Auto Concentration 1.0 (AUTO-CN) Leonardo, Lou and Howman, Cean $20 is an interesting and challenging version of Concentration. You turn over squares trying to match up different automobile manufacturer logos. The three levels of difficulty give you a 4x4, 6x6, or 10x6 board to solve. A top ten list is maintained. This is lots of fun, with great colors and many playing options. Code Breaker 1.01a (CBREAKR) Fogel, Kenneth and Haden, Charles W. $0 you must guess the same sequence of numbers that your computer generates from the clues it gives you. Cubic 1.0 Chappell, Geoffrey $10-$15 is a well done 3D game of Rubic's Cube. It has a self-solving feature, and you can change the view of the puzzle at any time. This is the closest to the real thing of any Rubic's-type program we've seen. Dot (DOT) [9-93 CD] James Shields $8 is a deceptively simple little slide-the-pieces puzzle where you try to move the bulls-eye inside the circle. This is much harder than it looks. Requires VBRUN300. Lucas's Puzzle 2.1 (LUCAS) Curran, James M. $5 is a puzzle that seems impossible at first, but which can be solved. As a bonus, digitized sound effects can be heard through your computer's internal speaker or Covox's Voice Master or Sound Master. You have an option to demo a winning game. MasterMind 1.1 (MRMIND) Curran, James M. $? a Windows 3 version of the well-known game of logic and deduction. This is an excellent game with lots of options and nice colors. MazeMaker 2.01 (MAZMAKR) Custom Real-Time Software, Inc. ASP $15 is a multi-floor maze game. Each day the program challenges you with the "Maze of the Day" which is like a house with 4-6 floors and about 2000 rooms. You have to find your way through from beginning to end which is done by jumping between floors. You can choose the easy mazes which only have two floors. If you can do it you are allowed to attempt more difficult mazes up to the ultimate "Maze of the Year!" MazinMaze 1.0 (MAZNMAZ) Jendrek, J. P. $10 will generate and let you solve mazes of varying sizes and difficulty. In EASY mode you are shown all walls and passageways, but in the TOUGH mode walls are invisible and show up only when you bump into them. For people will lots of time to kill there is an IMPOSSIBLE level where the wall are invisible and only a beep lets you know when you hit them. VBRUN is required. Puzzle 1.2 Beckingham, Paul $8 is a sliding-tile type of puzzle in which you try to get the tiles in order. There are several variations and patterns available, including numbers and letters. You can also choose among 4x4, 6x6 or 8x8 matrices and load images from bitmap files. An auto-solve option is available. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #3415 -------------------------------- CARD GAMES: =========== --------------------------- 3492 Poker/Other Card Games Small Programs Disk --------------------------- Atlantic City Blackjack 1.0 [ACBJ] Goldfayn, Oleg $25 is a game of casino blackjack for Windows 3.1. Up to seven gamblers can participate, and the computer will auto-play any unused hands. You can even customize the playing strategy of the computerized hands. Other features include on-screen advice, card counting, three dealing speeds, and more. VGA is required. Cribbage for Windows 1.1 (CRIBWIN) RR Enterprises $20 is the card game Cribbage. Features include having the computer play a hard or easy game, and the Fair or Cheat mode, in which you can see the computer's cards. You have to restart the program after every game. SMF Casino Poker 1.3 (SMFPOKR) SMF Softworks $10 is a poker machine type game. You can bet one to five coins. You also have the option of playing on a Quarters, Halves, or Dollars machine. The graphics are very nice, with digitized pictures used for the card backs. EGA/VGA required. A double-up option lets you bet your winnings on a single draw against the computer. On-line help is available. Tablenette 1.0 (TABLNET) Sycomp Limited $0 is an interesting card game you play against the computer. Requires VBRUN. VBCARDS.DLL is included. WinPoker 2.0 (WINPOKR) Zamzow, Dean $15 is a video poker game. The card images are beautifully done bitmaps and were designed for a standard VGA display. Other features include a save/restore game option, statistics, configurable background and text colors, and sound effects. This unarchives to over 500K, so a hard disk is recommended. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #3492 -------------------------------- -------------------- 4057 Solitaire Games Small Programs Disk -------------------- Accordian Solitaire 2.0 (ACCORD) (11-93 CD) Sands, Richard R. $0 is an interesting and entertaining solitaire game. The goal is to deal out as many cards as you want and try to move them all into one stack. You can only move a card up one or three places and then only if the destination card matches the suit or value of the card being moved. VBRUN300 is required. Clock Solitaire 1.1 (CLCKSOL) (11-93 CD) Fanion, Barry C. $5 is an interesting game where the cards are dealt into piles corresponding to locations on a clock face. The object is to place all cards into the proper pile (aces at 1 o'clock, sixes at 6 o'clock, etc.) without getting stuck. You can change the graphic of the card backs, and a running total of games won and lost is maintained. Requires VBRUN300. Klondike Solitaire 93.06.20 (KLNDIKE) (10-93 CD) Junod, John A. $5 is an excellent game of solitaire for Windows. Features include unlimited backup of moves, a variety of card and deck options, and an option that sends all playable cards home. There are even two cheat features available for when frustration sets in. The card bitmaps are very well done, and there are enough options to keep you from getting bored. Klondike Solitaire for Windows (KLONWIN) Pigeon Lake Software, Inc. $5 is a challenging card game for Windows 3.1. Features include six colorful card backs, support for card dragging, double-clicking to place cards, and more. Patience Solitaire 1.01V (PAT-SOL) Sands, Richard R. $0 is a fast-paced solitaire card game. You must build on the four aces in sequence (but regardless of suit) from four face-up stacks. Don't expect to win at this very often. VBRUN is required. Windows Spider Solitaire 93.06.20 (WINSPDR) (10-93 CD) Junod, John A. $5 is a difficult variation of solitaire for Windows. It uses two decks of cards and comes with a help file to get you started. The author states that he can usually win 1 out of 5 games, and that skill in placing cards can overcome the luck of the draw. -------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #4057 [0] -------------------------------- ------------------------ 12272 Solitaire Games #2 Small Programs Disk ------------------------ Brain Jam 1.6 (BRAINJM) (11-93 CD) Brain Jam Publications $12-$20 is an unusual card game for Windows. All the cards are dealt face up into eight columns. You can move cards sequentially onto the build pile, or onto the discard pile. This looks to be very difficult to win, but six winnable hands can be dealt from a menu. Crispy1 Pando, Chris $0 is a solitaire game based on the King's Corners game. It requires VBRUN100. FreeCell 1.2 (FC-WIN) Allen, Marc L. $5 is an interesting variation of solitaire for Windows. There are several options for customizing the playfield. Other features include card animation, automatic moves, and more. Do not expect to win this game easily. Gaps 1.31s Kokoski, Richard T. $12 is a challenging variation of solitaire. The object of the game is to properly move the cards so that you have the same suit aligned up in sequential order, where each row holds a different suit and the last position holds a blank space. You have an option to choose from 5 to 8 cards per suit. VBRUN100 is required. Pyramid 1.3 [PYR13] Philip Bush; $5 is an interesting version of solitaire. You must pair cards whose value totals 13 to remove them from the pyramid display. This can be a difficult game to win. Requires VBRUN300. Towers Peninsula Software $15 is a solitaire game that you can win 90% of the time IF you are careful. You cannot blow through the cards playing the first available cards every time as in other solitaire games. To win games, you will probably have to take back a lot of moves and maybe start the hand over a time or two. --------------------------------- END OF SMALL PROGRAMS DISK #12272 [40] --------------------------------- WORD & TRIVIA GAMES: =================== --------------- 3792 Word Games Small Programs Disk --------------- Cipher 1.2 (CIPHRBT) Trupp, Brad $0 is a decryption game. A cheat mode will show you the location of one letter at a time. Crossword Counter-Cheater (CCC) Ford, Nelson ASP $0 lets you counter those crossword puzzles that use words nobody's ever heard before. The database doesn't have normal words, just words like abri, dryad, hadj, osier, and zoroaster. We consider the use of gibberish words to be cheating on the part of the crossword's creator. You can type in a clue and find matching words, or type in known letters for the answer and the program will display any matching words. You can easily add words to or delete words from the database. VBRUN is required. Crossword Puzzle Editor 0.5 (CP-EDIT) O'Brien, Mark E. $0 lets you create crossword puzzles in Windows. You can use any available fonts, print the puzzles, and save and load puzzles from disk. A sample puzzle is included. GuessIt Jaeger, Bruce $10 is a Hangman game. You can edit the word file and provide your own list of words. You can also replace the Hangman with the Dentist, Taxman or Bridge Buster. VBRUN100.DLL is required. After selecting a word you take turns guessing the word and each opponent must tell how many letters are correct. You simply type in a group of five or six letters and it produces a list of every possible combination of those letters, along with a shorter list of combinations most likely to be real words. You can save games as well as load previous games. Other features include high score handling and an Undo function. Zilch! 1.0 Pixel Perfect $15 is an entertaining dice game for up to four players. Each player tries to build up their score using certain combinations of dice. (Haven't those spirits heard of Modems?) PC-VD Merriman, David $? is an amusing little program that pokes fun at viruses and the hoopla surrounding them. Requires VBRUN100. Texas Lottery Pick-6 (TLPICK6) Organic Software $0 generates numbers for the Texas Lottery. It prints five sets of numbers arranged from smallest to largest for easy transfer to a five-dollar Lottery ticket. Requires VBRUN100. Black Box 1.0 (BLAKBOX) Vince the Mince $0 you must identify the locations of hidden atomic particles on a grid. Clues are obtained by injecting rays into the grid and observing their exit point. This is a great test of logic. Bow & Arrow 1.0 (B-ARROW) 09-93 CD Di Troia, John $12 is an entertaining hand-eye coordination game. Having seen bow-and-arrow type games that were not very interesting, we were prepared to be disappointed again, which made this one all the more enjoyable. In the first stage, balloons float up the screen and you must shoot them all before you run out of arrows. On the second level, you must again shoot the red balloons, but without hitting the yellow balloons. The third level, in which you must pop bubbles to let the butterflys trapped in them fly away, is easy enough to lull you to sleep, only to get "slimed" on the next level. We never got beyond level four, not being nimble enough to avoid being slimed, so you will have to discover for yourself what awaits you on the higher levels. Invisible Maze R & R Enterprise $10 creates invisible mazes. Walls only become visible after you run into them. Your score is based on getting out of the maze in the fewest possible moves. Squeeze Play Henderson Graphics $15 is a block-pushing type of puzzle, but with a twist you have to push blocks around to trap the creatures before the creatures get you! Tsetse $0 is the world's smallest arcade game! The whole game takes place on the program's icon. The goal is for you to "shoot" objects as they fly by, using the right button on the mouse to click the cursor on them. High score and the current score is displayed in what is normally the icon's title. Not the most challenging arcade game in the world, but one of the cutest and cleverest. WinWayOut Tarody, Thomas $15 is a 3-D maze game that you have to fight your way out of. As you are searching for the exit, you will come across swords. These are needed for slaying the giant spiders that sometime jump out at you.
